The Scottish Government is engaging with Homes for Scotland members and other housing sector stakeholders as part of its commitment to consider future planning reform.

To support members taking part in this engagement, HFS has brought together high level commentary on the key issues affecting the planning system and housing delivery. The briefing is intended to help provide a clear and consistent industry perspective while recognising the different experiences of individual businesses.

Members are encouraged to use the briefing alongside specific examples from their own businesses, including practical experience of delays, inconsistency, infrastructure constraints, resourcing pressures and other barriers to delivery.
